I grew up in Northfield and began
learning songs while in junior high. After graduating New Trier
High School, I attended the University of Southern California
as a film major. While there, I began studying jazz guitar
and music theory. After leaving the University of Southern
California, I attended the Berklee College of Music and majored
in songwriting. While at Berklee I studied arranging, jazz
theory, ear training, classical theory, counterpoint, vocal
performance, piano, and guitar. I also performed in various
ensembles with accomplished Berklee musicians.
In 2004, I returned to Chicago and began performing as a full
time professional musician. During that time I have amassed
many hundreds of performances in various settings including:
country clubs (Beverly, Indian Hill, Sunset Ridge, North Shore,
La Grange, Medinah, Oak Park to name a few); private events
both corporate (Chicago Bulls) and private (weddings, bar mitzvahs,
graduations, backyard BBQ’s, birthdays, fundraisers, etc.);
and Chicago area restaurants (Pinstripes, Onesti Dinner Club). I
have also performed original work at bars and clubs throughout
the Chicagoland area.
